  • Formed Duck Lake Nuisance Aquatics Committee (DLNAC)
  • Asked for voluntary donations from property owners
  • Divided lake into sections for volunteers to monitor
  • Held training sessions for volunteers
  • Treated 1.463 acres with 2,4-D in the fall

2006

  • Started marking Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) areas with GPS and yellow buoys
  • Treated in the spring and fall for a total 4.489 acres

2007

  • Paid for one property owner to become certified scuba diver
  • Biologist developed a Lake Management Plan
  • Invasive Species Control Coalition of Watersmeet (ISCCW) was formed
  • Treated in the spring and fall for a total 9.661 acres

2008

  • Treated 4.871 acres in the spring
  • Began logging volunteer hours for grant puposes
  • ISCCW began providing a boat washer periodically at Duck Lake’s public access
  • ISCCW held on-water training sessions on our lake

2009

  • Treated 4.912 acres in the spring
  • Asked for voluntary donations for the second time
  • Stout family donated a pontoon (Milfoiler) to be used as a diving platform

2010

  • Treated 9.511 acres in the spring
  • The DLNAC became the Milfoil Committee under the auspices of the Duck Lake Riparian Association
  • ISCCW provided new signage at the public access

2011

  • Received a $6,000 grant
  • Biologists did a detailed point-intercept survey to systematically collect plant data
  • Treated 4.132 acres in the spring

2012

  • Treated 3.971 acres in the spring
  • Milfoiler II replaced Milfoiler I

2013

  • No herbicide treatment

2014

  • Treated 9.5 acres in the spring

2015-2020
